Promoted 1 Sept 63 to Corporal. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. POW at Andersonville, GA. Roland Levaughn, Robert H. Kellogg, Samuel H. Belden, Burton Hubbard, John W. Loomis, Ira E. Forbes, William Maxwell and Henry S. French, all of Co. A & William O. Levaughn, a brother of Roland, all shared a large tent at Andersonville "located by the side of the ravine." Transferred to Charleston, SC. Died 4 October 1864 of Disease as a POW, Charleston, SC.

BRYANT, George H. - Musician, Co. I, 16th CT Infantry. Enlisted 16 July 62 from Hartford, CT. Mustered 24 Aug 62. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. POW at Andersonville, GA & Charleston, SC. Died 25 Sept 1864 as a POW, Charleston, SC.

CURTISS, James - Private, Co. G, 16th CT Infantry. Born 13 Sept 1847 at Burlington, CT, son of Major & Clarissa (Dowd) Curtiss. Enlisted 29 Dec 63 from Southington, CT. Mustered 29 Dec 63. DERBY, Atwater - Private, Co. K, 16th CT Infantry. Married 24 July to Helen Ford at Rochester, NY, under the assumed name John M. Lee. Enrolled 16 Feb 64 at New Haven, CT under the name Atwater Derby. Mustered 15 March 64 at New London, CT. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. POW at Andersonville, GA & Charleston, SC. Died 1 Dec 1864 at Charleston, SC. Helen re-married 10 May 1867 to Isaac Bonthiel at Rochester, NY. Helen died 13 June 1872 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY.
